the cast: (from left to right) Morgan, Marcus' friend; Marcus himself; Emanda (the pirate in front), Mike's girlfriend; and Mike in the black hat. Marcus and Mike being my roommates, of course. dunno the other people... from Halloween, obviously!
haha... Andrew brought over Starbucks stickers way back in September, and I had to frolick in them. it just took a while to get this photo off of Jared's camera.
putting up christmas lights--and the matching outfits were accidental! it's the exact same shirt, too, mine's just a bit newer.

the voyage begins! setting off to Deanne's on Friday night. damn the SFU busses only starting at 6:45 am...
waiting to get on the bus at roughly 7:20 am... this after getting up at 5 am to transit downtown.
Delta.
Deanne and Basil in front of the legislative buildings.
the girls!
Deanne, Basil, and Maria (his girlfriend) at the house.
oh, how madly we love the UVic bunnies!
(rabbit foot for luck)
at the end of the trip--relaxed and content with life. arriving at Pacific Central felt like coming home--a nice circular journey from that time, so long ago, when I stepped off that bus all alone for the first time.also, christmas lights are up in my room, now. they're pretty.

our weapons were our instruments
Sunday, October 29, 2006
Hailey Sales, the opening band.
Matt and Adham, our escorts!
The girls being beautiful, of course!
And um, Matt being beautiful too.
(requisite foot photo)
I don't know why we both look kind of glum, probably because it took FOREVER for the Cat Empire to get on stage.
Oh well. I put a happy face on anyway.
Funny lights, as produced by my camera.
Harry, taking the stage.
Felix, singin' away.
Felix again, with lights.
The Cat Empire! It was amazing. Such talent, such enthusiasm, just--wow. I hope that the next time I see them, there's a bit more room for dancing. Our weapons were our instruments
made from timber and steel
we never yielded to conformity
but stood like kings
in a chariot that's riding on a
record wheel...
