I don't know why we both look kind of glum, probably because it took FOREVER for the Cat Empire to get on stage.

Oh well. I put a happy face on anyway.

The Cat Empire! It was amazing. Such talent, such enthusiasm, just--wow. I hope that the next time I see them, there's a bit more room for dancing.

My mum sent me these photos of four young black bears in Anchorage, Alaska, playing on a newly installed backyard playground. Their mum was hanging out in the bushes nearby.
